Libya: U.S. Unable To Evacuate Nationals

The United States has not be able to evacuate any of its diplomats and embassy workers’ family members from Libya, said U.S. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley, Reuters reported Feb. 22. The United States is looking at ways to move Americans out of Libya, Crowley said. The United States is concerned about the safety of its citizens, and the Libyan government has pledged its support in the evacuation, Crowley added. He did not explain why the Feb. 22 efforts did not succeed.
