Keep America Safe

Dear Fellow Member of Keep America Safe:

This week, we learned that a former Guantanamo detainee was arrested in Pakistan on terrorism charges. Issa Khan, who was held at Guantanamo for three years, was repatriated to Pakistan in 2004. Despite the fact that released detainees are returning to the battlefield, the Obama administration continues to release them. At the same time, John Brennan, President Obama’s counterterrorism adviser, claims that recidivism rates from Guantanamo really “aren’t that bad.”

In other national security news this week, Ibrahim Ahmed Mahmoud al Qosi, an Al Qaeda bodyguard pleaded guilty before a military commission. Press reports indicate that a plea agreement has been reached, details about which will remain undisclosed until sentencing, which is scheduled for August. We certainly hope and expect that military prosecutors will press for a prison term that is appropriate for a jihadist who now stands convicted of a) conspiring with al Qaeda to massacre Americans; b) of serving as a fighter and supplier for the terror network; and c) of personally providing Osama bin Laden with the security services that enabled him to lead the ongoing terrorist war that has claimed the lives of thousands of U.S. soldiers and civilians.

In addition, we also learned from the Administrator of NASA that President Obama has tasked the agency with the primary objective of improving relations with the Muslim world, a rather odd objective for our nation’s esteemed space program.

We are proud to announce that we surpassed 1,000,000 views on the Keep America Safe YouTube channel yesterday. Thank you all for you continued support, and if you have not watched our videos, make sure to check them out.
